You’re sitting at home ‘alone’. The kids are in bed, they’re in the house with you, yet you still feel lonely.
Hubby is back at work.
Today you’ve forced yourself out of bed. You got to sleep too late last night, because rather than just turning out the lights, you kept scrolling on your phone, staying in some sort of contact with other people, because once the lights are out and all is quiet, you’re reminded of the quiet. Of there being no snoring from the other side of the bed, and some nights, that silence is just too much to bear.
So you make yourself pass out, rather than turning the lights out at a decent hour.
And this morning you felt it.
But you still got up, organised school lunches, made sure the kids were fed and dressed and out the door on time. And then you dragged yourself to work, got through the demands there, rushed back home in time for school pick-up, after school activities, homework help, dinner preparations, negotiations about who gets which plate, who had more time on the iPad, who’s having a shower and why not, and on it goes.
And as you sit here now the kids are finally down, you look at the mountain of laundry that needs to be folded and put away, yet all you want to do is turn on the TV and forget that there is no one there to fight for the remote.
And so it goes, day after day…
It’s Groundhog Day, and to be honest, not a very inspiring outlook, is it?
But let me promise you lovely, there is so much more to life than this!!
What if I told you, there is a brand new and exciting perspective waiting for you? That you can live the exact same life that you do now, but your perspective on that existence can fill you up with purpose and joy, and get you excited about what’s to come?
It starts with YOU, and it starts with you deciding to make a change for yourself! The rest automatically follows.
